Saint-Sulpice suits those looking for a small riverside municipality, whether to raise a family, retire or commute daily to the east end of Montreal. Near the river, it's wise to consult the floodplain maps and confirm that the property is insurable. For an older home on chemin du Roy, a careful inspection of the foundation and systems is essential, and in rural areas, ask about the well and septic system. Noise from Highway 40 can also vary from one street to another.

Religious heritage
Built in 1830-1831 on the banks of the river, then transformed in 1873 by Victor Bourgeau and Étienne-Alcibiade Leprohon, it has been classified as a heritage building since 1959. Together with the presbytery, the cemetery and its roadside cross, it forms a parish complex that tells three centuries of history on the banks of the St. Lawrence.
