Living in Saint-Rémi

Founded starting in 1815, Saint-Rémi became the service town of Les Jardins-de-Napierville, surrounded by market-garden land, orchards and sugar maple groves. It played an important role during the Patriote rebellions of 1837-1838. Its neoclassical church, built from 1836 to 1840, and the former Collège Saint-Viateur bear witness to that past. Families, retirees and agri-food workers live there, drawn to a full-service town surrounded by countryside.
