Otterburn Park owes its name to Joseph Hickson, manager of the Grand Trunk, who proposed the name of his English hometown for the stop created in 1885 near a recreational park. At first a place for cottages for railway employees, the town became a permanent residential setting after the Second World War. Bordered by the Richelieu to the northwest and neighbouring Mont-Saint-Hilaire, it chose in 2023 to keep its bilingual status. Residents here are mostly families and people attached to the quiet of tree-lined streets.
