Living in Longueuil

Longueuil is the largest city on the South Shore and the central city of the agglomeration of the same name. Its history goes back to the seigneury granted to Charles Le Moyne in 1657, but its current form dates from 2002: following the 2006 demerger, it has three boroughs, Vieux-Longueuil, Saint-Hubert and Greenfield Park. It has a metro connected to downtown Montreal, two major hospitals, a cégep, university campuses and an airport. It appeals to commuters and students as well as families and retirees.
