Living in Vieux-Longueuil

Vieux-Longueuil is the most populous borough of Longueuil and brings together the territories of the former cities of Longueuil and LeMoyne. Its historic heart, along the river, was declared a heritage site in 1993 and includes about 450 buildings constructed before 1945, among them the Saint-Antoine-de-Padoue co-cathedral. Further east lie postwar neighbourhoods that largely grew out of the former Ville Jacques-Cartier, merged with Longueuil in 1969. Students, commuters, families and retirees attached to their neighbourhood all cross paths here.
