Buyers are drawn to Pointe-Claire for its REM stations, its exo stations and its proximity to Lac Saint-Louis. Sellers do well to mention the distance to the nearest station, as well as access to Highways 20 and 40. In the village and near the lake, the character of the streets and access to the water are advantages worth highlighting. For older homes, documented maintenance is reassuring.

For many commuting buyers, the distance to the Fairview–Pointe-Claire or Des Sources stations is a key criterion. It's worth stating it clearly in the marketing.
Yes. A decluttered, clean and well-lit property looks bigger in photos and attracts more showings. Start by depersonalizing (family photos, collections), repairing small defects, refreshing the paint in neutral tones and half-emptying the closets. We'll advise you room by room before the photo shoot.
Buyers are more numerous from January to March and in the spring, but a well-prepared property sells in any season. From January to September 2026, homes in Pointe-Claire sold in 44 days on average: the right price from the start matters more than the season.
With recent comparable sales in your area, not with what the neighbours are asking. A fair price from the start attracts more showings and avoids price reductions. For reference, the median price of a single-family home in Pointe-Claire was $740,444 from January to September 2026.
The certificate of location, municipal and school tax bills, invoices for work and renovations, warranties that are still valid and, for a condo, the co-ownership documents. Having them ready from the start avoids delays and reassures buyers.
