Living in Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines

Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines occupies the northern part of the MRC de Thérèse-De Blainville, covering nearly half of its territory. Its parish was founded in 1787 on the lands of the seigneury of des Plaines, granted in 1731, and you can still find a church from 1899–1902, a presbytery from 1887 and the former convent now serving as city hall. Known for strawberry growing, the city has kept a rural character around a lively town centre along boulevard Sainte-Anne. Residents are mostly families and people who work on the North Shore or in Laval.
