Living in Bedford

Bedford is crossed by the Rivière aux Brochets, which divides the town into a north sector and a south sector. The first settler arrived there in 1812, and by the late 19th century the village had become an important commercial centre. Its downtown still has three historic churches, including the Anglican church built in 1834. Families, retirees and residents of the surrounding countryside who come for its services live here.
